How to edit and update your Avvo profile

January 7th, 2010 by Cristin Carey, Customer Care Manager

New Year’s Resolutions – Add “update my Avvo profile” to the list. Not only can it help your Avvo Rating, but its a nice time to reflect on your achievements over the past year. As Mark mentioned a few days ago, we’re taking this time to make changes and updates as well. With that in mind, I’ve created a new How-to video to remind you how to update your profile, just in case it’s been awhile.

  1. Philip Moffat Says:

Hi. I claimed my Avvo profile a few months ago and have not been able to update it. When logged in, I do not have the three tabs at the top of my profile that you mention in the video clip. I would appreciate your help sorting this out. I recently changed firms and would very much appreciate the opportunity to update my profile. Thanks in advance.

  2. Megan Olendorf Says:

  3. James Shrybman Says:

I have a similar problem as that of Mr. Moffat above. I listened to the video and when I loggied in, I do not have the three tabs at the top of my profile that you mention in the video. I know that I was logged in properly because it says at the top of the page, “Hi, James A. Shrybman” and next to that it says, “Sign Out.”

  4. Laurie Mack-Wagner Says:

I have the same problem as Mr. Moffat and Mr. Shrybman. I do not have the three tabs either, and cannot edit my profile.

  5. Shyama Says:

    I don’t see the 3 tabs to edit/update my profile… please help.

  6. Doug Spoors Says:

I have the same problem. When I sign in, it takes me to the “Find a Lawyer” menu. After I enter my name, it shows my profile but the three tabs mentioned in the video are not there. I have tried to go back and re-register, but it will not go past the “enter information” stage. Thanks for your help.

My profile says it has been claimed. When I log in with my login and password, I cannot edit my profile. Thank you in advance for your help.

  11. Adam Says:

I also am not seeing any tabs. When I log in it takes me to a general search page, no option to update my profile. Why have you made your site so difficult to use?

  12. Katie Richey Says:

I am having a similar issue and cannot edit my profile. How can I do this? Thanks.

  13. Megan Says:
