Let's not forget the dynamic duo (Yahoo-Bing) . And.. Pay-per-click marketing is a viable option too. What this could mean is that paid advertising will become the primary means for marketing and search will be real-time information.

Who knows. Until its officially released it is hard to say.

So... if you really want to have more control over your marketing destiny, build a list. Email marketing , with relevant and valuable content, provides a greater foundation to work with.

But.. given the names that frequent this site, you probably already know this.

Caffeine is more focused on the jolt! Speeding up Googles search to provide both relevant and "timely" information. Timely is no longer last week or two weeks ago, timely is today, now, tomorrow!

Also, local search results will not be as affected as heavily as national searches.

Looking my website ranking for some key search terms, my main site rank is a little worse for one (with more quality, anchor text links for that query), a little better for another (with fewer). Not sure what else is at play. What irks me though is that sites paying an seo co which uses lots spam links for them, still are ranking higher. So their recent statement that they were cracking down on spam links (from spam directories, fake blogs, fake pr sites) does not seem too real yet. I'm keeping tyhe faith, and the white hat on, waiting for karma to beneifit me eventually, focusing on quality, fresh content and quality links.

Are we about to lose rankings, gain them, or will very little changes come about with the next generation of Google Search, called Google Caffeine which is making changes to the service’s infrastructure? Matt Cutts says we won't see much in the way of ranking change - we will see.
