Top Viewed Lawyers in January 2009
1. Rebecca Sue Olson Gupta of Atlanta, GA tops our January list. She is married to Obama’s controversial prospective nominee for Surgeon General, CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
2. Steven Klig of Great Neck, NY made the list, because he attempted to extort his ex-girlfriend into sending risque photos of herself – in exchange for which he agreed not to distribute a (fictional) sex tape of her having sex with him. Mr. Klig was formerly a tax partner at Deloitte.
3. Okorie Okorocha of Los Angeles, CA. Perennial Top-Viewed Lawyer Okorie makes our list again this January due to his renewed efforts on Avvo Answers.
4. William C. Head of Atlanta, GA. Bubba head is one of the most popular DUI lawyers in Avvo’s history.
5. John Kaman of San Francisco, CA is another stalwart on the list – a perennial top contributor to Avvo Answers. For an experienced San Francisco Criminal Defense Lawyer, one needs to look no further.
6. Margery Golant of Fort Lauderdale, FL has now answered 1135 questions in Florida Foreclosure Law.
7. Fredrick Goings for Chicago, IL made the list because he was questioned by police in connection with the slaying of New York Knicks Center’ Eddy Curry’s ex-girlfriend.
8. Rando Wick of Seattle, WA makes his debut on the list.
9. Eric Koester of Seattle, WA also makes his debut. In Eric’s case, it looks as if publishing a couple of legal guides and answering questions got him on the list.
10. Ryan Patrick McClure of Ontario, CA is another new entrant to the list. Though he has been very active on the list, he has yet to upload a photo!

Eric Koester is a loyal GWU Law Alum. That *alone* should get him on the list! :-)
Seriously though – congrats Eric!

“Klig” is Yiddish for “smart,” by the way. Heh.
