Newspaper advertising down 18% (including online)
Newspaper advertising was down $2 billion dollars last quarter. Even newspapers’ online advertising revenue fell (2% decline). Venture Capitalist Alan Mutter explained: “the outlook for the final period of the year is worse, when the three classified verticals are likely to experience the full impact of the economic meltdown.” More at Advertising Age.
