On July 24, the King County Washington Women Lawyers(KCWWL) organized an event at a local nonprofit called the Jubilee Women’s Center. Jubilee is a wonderfully kept transitional home for up to 20 resident women. The purpose of the event was to give advice on job hunting skills – focusing on interviewing skills in particular. Having conducted mock interviews with a couple of the women, I came away impressed with both the KCWWL and Jubilee. Jubilee’s largest annual fundraising event will be held on October 2 at 7:30 a.m. at the Westin in Downtown Seattle. I plan on hosting a table – if anyone is interested in sitting at the table, please let me know. A big thanks to Kristin Peterson, Jane Faulkner, Mamie Brown, Moni Law and Jessica Munk for organizing the event and exposing me to this worthwhile organization.
